This field is an important public field. Why shut it down when so many neighborhood people use it? The city has fewer and fewer public places where people can play.

I urge your group to investigate how Toronto uses the green spaces above its reservoirs. One example I know about firsthand is the reservoir park within David Balfour Park (Rosehill Ave.) in central Toronto. Apart from the usual sports activities, childrens' wading pool and dog walking taking place there, there has recently been developed an enclosed flower garden with benches which was developed with both citizen and city council financial contribution.I can provide the name of a contact person for this reservoir park if anyone is interested.
